Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy
By Richelle Mead

"St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever." Courtesy of Goodreads

Oh my Gosh!!!! I have said before I love snarky character. I adore Rose. She is so sarcastic and wild! This book is filled with juicy high school drama and that just draws you in more. I am so glad Lissa can use compulsion to keep her and Rose together. They compliment each other so well, and Lissa is going to need Rose to help her keep her powers in check. They are incredibly lucky and blessed to have their Bond.

Dimtri. Where to began! Gosh, I love the relationship between him and Rose. I cannot believe he lies about how he feels, breaks Rose's heart, only for her to find out the truth from someone else. (The plot twist is a bit predictable although I didn't see the Natalie thing coming.) I'm very glad she confronts him about all of it!

I loved these so much I went out and bought the rest!
